Responsible Partners: ITU, INGV, IFREMER The Marmara Sea area is densely covered with on shore, seismological stations which provide a high quality overview of the regional seismicity. Hence, the data from the present demonstration mission will be integrated to the land seismological data.
The expected results of this action are :
to assess the true benefit of deploying seafloor stations in the MS;
to assess the ambient noise in the Marmara Sea ;
to better identify the active segments of the MS Sea fault system
